Common Use’s for Backdrop Banners and Step-and-Repeat Banners

Parties, Weddings and Photography – If you’re at a special event such as a party or wedding, most photographers would prefer using a custom designed backdrop, as it showcases the event you’re at. If you’re at a wedding, the couple’s names and date of event would be outlined on the backdrop. It serves as a good reminder of when and where you were for that photo! Pair this with some photo booth props and you have yourself a positive photo setting.

Club Parties and Promotions – Most clubs, hotels, event management companies and promotion companies tend to use backdrop banners to promote their own brand or those of their sponsors and promoters. It’s a good way of telling those at the party and those who are viewing the photos – of who actually was behind the event!

Red Carpet Galas, Formal Events and Corporate Gatherings – The idea is the same here; we tend to see most of these events with step-and-repeat banners and media walls. They again will help bring attention to the companies, organizations, sponsors and volunteer groups behind a particular event.

How Should I Setup My File?

All print files need to be in PDF format. Please make sure to flatten your image before saving as PDF. Ensure that your graphics are of high quality. For large format printing, we recommend using a resolution of between 150 and 200DPI – so it does not take up too much file space when saving. Your artwork must be in CMYK color space and design for the required final print size, with 3.5 inches of empty space on the top and bottom for pocket poles.

Are There Pocket Poles for the Step-and-Repeat Banner?

Yes, we provide loops on the top and bottom of the banner for hanging.

How are the Banners Delivered?

If your banner is 8ft or less on the shorter side, it will arrive rolled. For banners with the shortest side at more than 8FT, it will arrive folded.

Do You Have Backdrop Banner Stands?

Yes, we have step-and-repeat banner stands that fit at most the 8ft x 10ft banner. For larger banners, we recommend you get the stands yourself before ordering, as they are much harder to find. If interested, you are free to build your own backdrop stand using tools and equipment you can find at the local hardware store.

Can Banners Be Printed the Same Day?

Depending on our volume and cut-off time for the product, yes it is very possible that your banner can be printed and shipped the same day. What is Stop-and-Run Production?

Roll Up City offers our customers stop-and-run production – which is essentially when we stop all our existing production and run your job. It comes with premium pricing, as we’re stopping all production on a particular printer, but the added value is that you get your job printed within the next hour or two.
